AVALANCHA ARCADE

This project originated almost as a design exercise aiming to explore the feasibility of creating an engaging game console solely using the available production processes at the time, a powerful laser cutter and a brake machine.

The strategy aims to evoke users' nostalgia, seamlessly blending with other furniture in a more designed-oriented environment.
This entertainment machine draws inspiration from the mid-century rationalist aesthetic while retaining some of the more traditional elements such as the levers, push buttons, and top backlight.

PROTOTYPE
CONSTRUCTION

First prototypes were built using laser cut MDF to test ergonomics and component layout.
Upon achieving the desired result,
we proceeded to build fully functional prototypes to test materials and fine-tune every detail.
Production was later outsourced.
