DESIGN CHALLENGE

Head's tour racquets are characterized by four or five key cross-sections along the frame, predefined by the engineering department to influence performance in the desired direction. This naturally constrains the design's possibilities but also allows for great storytelling.

This new racquet is defined by a high degree of power and control. The chosen design concept aims to effectively convey the essence of the frame by blending organic shapes with strong edges. Dynamic lines flow all over the racket, reshaping HEAD's usual frame construction without losing the brand's DNA.

PROTOTYPING & PLAYTESTING

3D printed mock-ups are sanded and painted in-house to review proportions and fine-tune design details. After necessary corrections, the final CAD model is sent to the factory to create the first working prototypes. A group of experts will then playtest the prototypes and adjust the weight balance accordingly.
